these are a few of my favorite things …

As a little girl my grandfather would let me explore in his shed full of antiques; I developed a love for vintage and antique items. It was always fun to see what else I could find, I always wondered the stories behind it, where did it come from? Who owned it?  He was and still is an antique dealer so I have always had a love for antiques and finding new ways to reuse old items. So I thought I would share some of my finds on a recent  trip down to Crescent Moon lately. I was so impressed with all of the fun and new ideas they had for recycling used items. Jay & Julie do such a great job! I love it! They had really cool glass panes and found a use for them as drink coasters, brilliant! I went through and photographed some pieces to share with you. This doesn’t even begin to show off what Crescent Moon has to offer! Be sure to check them out for some truly unique items to reuse items in a fresh, environmentally friendly way.

The image on the left is reclaimed wood used to make tables in the store and they are gorgeous! I love the antique fixtures too!

There are so many uses for old door knobs... coat racks, wine stoppers.. click to view some other ideas.

The carvings on this piece were amazing!

If you are a wine drinker like I am this is a must! What a great way to display your wine bottles.

The image on the left is a glass block made into a decorative vase, how unique!

I thought this piece was kind of fun, in the right house it would make a great accent piece.
