Angie + Eric’s Paine Art Center and Gardens Wedding
A few weeks ago Angie + Eric said i do before flying off to Italy for their honeymoon (jealous a bit). Guests came from both near and far, some as far as Hong Kong and New York! They had such a gorgeous day and Angie looked absolutely stunning in her dress, Kate Spade shoes and beautiful pearl necklace and earrings! Eric looked pretty sweet too, I loved the bow-tie :). I met this adorable couple this past winter and Angie and I became instant friends! Both of them are so sweet, giving and kind… I couldn’t have asked for a better couple :)!
We spent their engagement session in Madison a few months back and shared stories, food and even a beverage at the Union. Angie and Eric met in Madison when they were in pharmacy school. They both now work at Walgreens which ended up being one of our stops on the wedding day. I shoot in strange places all the time bathrooms, dumpsters, automotive store and many others. I can’t say I’ve shot at Walgreens before especially not on the wedding day but it was so fun! They both love what they do and I was more than happy to incorporate the place that has special meaning to them :)!
Prior to our Walgreens adventure we got them hitched at the Paine Art Center Gardens. As always the Paine Art Center was gorgeous with its lush trees, flowers and carefully manicured grounds. Friends and family watched Angie and Eric tie the knot and after we played out on the lawn for a bit. If you’ve never been to the Paine Art Center I’d recommend a stroll through it, it’s beautiful. The perfect combination of beauty and art :). I think Matisse is the current exhibit.
Angie and Eric finished off the evening on into the night at the Best Westerns new ballroom in Oshkosh where Angie changed into her traditional Chinese dress for a customary tea ceremony. I found it fascinating! It was the first Chinese tea ceremony I’d ever witnessed. The elders join the couple in sharing tea and the exchanging of gifts. Family who couldn’t be present even sent gifts. We aren’t talking a coffee grinder and some pot holders, instead they received jewelry and monetary gifts. It was really cool to see and I just loved Angie’s dress, again she looked stunning. Although she could probably show up in a brown sack and make it look good :). She’s just so adorable, I could squish her (I wont Angie I promise lol)! I’m so happy to have been part of Angie and Eric’s joyful day and I can’t wait to hear all about the honeymoon! Thank you both so much for sharing your day and spirit with me :)! xo-laurie marie
