Erich & Trisha Elope: Oshkosh CourtHouse… Can You Say Best Monday Ever?!
I am so grateful to have the honor of spending the day with Trisha & Erich on Monday. The couple had their elopement at the Oshkosh courthouse and it was the sweetest thing to witness, (literally I was their witness) :)! To spend such an intimate affair with this couple was oh-so-special. On Monday after they exchanged their vows and their rings and made it official, we walked down to Menominee Park where the night before they walked to the Menominee Park peninsula to exchange their vows under the moonlight with only a few lanterns to show the way. So naturally I thought “What a perfect place for them to share their first dance,” so I grabbed my iPhone and played them a little Vintage Trouble’s tune called “Nobody Told Me” I remembered it was one of their favorite songs. A song they often dance to around the house :).
So while they danced beneath the pine trees I stood back and grabbed some wonderful moments shared between them. After their dance was over we drove back to their adorable home where they cut the cake. A delicious pina colada cake with coconut shavings, they were so sweet to think of me, they made me a little cupcake as well. It was de-lish :)!
I love weddings like this, no big performance, no worrying about a thing, just two people loving one another and sharing the moment together. Thank you Trisha & Erich for sharing your day with me, it was such a special one! A Monday I will not be soon to forget. I feel not only did I get to meet and document two amazing people but I gained some new friends in the process :). Much love for you both xoxo- laurie marie
Oh and P.S. I’ll doggie-sit any time :)!
