I have been doing weddings now for almost 4 years and I have seen alot of neat ideas and trends but what I’d love to suggest is for brides to venture out, get creative and think outside the gift box. Use your own personal style to create something fun and unique!
Here are some fun ways and ideas to do so:
The Cake: Every couple wants desert right? Oooh how sweet. Well if your going with cake why not try using a non traditional cake topper? These little cuties are from Skunkboy Creatures on Etsy!
The Dress: Dresses don’t need to be a bazillion dollars to be gorgeous. This eco-friendly wedding gown was handmade & sewn by designer Andie Mcguire from Snake Mountain Threads. Oh did I mention it is less than $1000 ?!
Bouquet Alternative: Instead of bouquets why not try these gorgeous clutches? Your bridesmaids will have a place to put their goods and you will have something just a bit different than other brides. Margo Rouge is where it’s at for clutches!
Say It with a Sign: Add a little personal touch with a vintage flair to your wedding with a cute sign! Here is one from Victorian Station on Etsy.
Pillow Alternative: Everybody uses a pillow right? Why not use a personalized slice of lumber :)! Or moss?
A little flair in your hair: Try a piece with feathers, ribbon, satin, pearls… whatever suits your fancy! A little bling in the hair goes a long way!
Places everyone: Place cards are something you can really get creative with! Check out these fun place holders!
Say it with the Shoes: Nobody said the shoes need to match the dress!? Shout out loud with a fun bold color or some strappy little things! Pink, purple, green or red… doesn’t matter just make it your own :)!
Boutonniere: Whoever decided that a boutonniere had to be a flower? Check out this fun button boutonniere! Do men really like wearing flowers anyway? lol
These are just a few ideas to get the wheels turning! Think about what makes you unique. What are your quirks, things you like, favorite animal, color? What’s your style? Vintage, Eclectic, Natural, Modern? Use the things you know about yourself and you as a couple to really put something special out there. It’s your BIG day! Make it your own! :)
Not that creative? Turn it over to the professionals! A wedding planner can work with you to help put it all together. Go to my site for a list of vendors who might be able to help!
