Well hubby & I had a super busy and fun weekend. I started off shooting Michelle & David’s beautiful wedding in Green Bay on Friday… more on that later. :) On Saturday I had another wedding, this time we were guests. My Uncle Eddie said “I do” to his lovely fiancée Doris. Both of them lost their first spouses. I’m so happy for them that they found love & each other to walk through life together. Hubby & I sat next to my parents during the ceremony and in the pew in front of me was a little girl with her daddy. Of course I couldn’t help but grab a photo of her snuggling with him, it’s a sickness I know.
After the ceremony we said our goodbyes and stopped over at my grandparents house. It’s been so long since I’ve been there but wow when I walked in a flood of memories came rushing back. The wall of antiques, the Hummel plates on the wall, even down to the pattern of the flooring, I was feeling rather nostalgic so I did a little session. I used to go down there all the time when I was a kid, playing in grandpa’s shed and eating grandmas amazing chicken wings. It’s amazing how a sound, a smell or how the littlest things can trigger memories. I’m so glad I got to visit while over that way. I need to get there more often. All of the stories my grandparents have to share, I need to make it a priority to hear them all!
Saturday was super busy for us. After a stop at the grandparents we had a graduation to go to. Erich, one of my grooms turned friend from last year, graduated from his Interior Design program so of course we had to celebrate! We had a ton of fun, unfortunately that’s about when my phone died so I don’t have a lot of images to share from that event. Regardless, I’m proud of him and his lovely wife Trisha not only for doing what they love but for being such amazing parents. If anyone knows how challenging it can be to go to school while raising a child, I do! It takes persistence, support and determination, way to go both of you! Side note if anyone needs a designer, I know a guy :). lol
Then to complete this super fun weekend we spent Sunday celebrating Chris from Anagen 11′s surprise birthday party. Jessica worked really hard and pulled off a great surprise for Chris. It was awesome to be part of! Amazing food, beverages, mustaches, & a crazy game of quarters got the party started right and since the weather was awesome we spent the whole afternoon outside! This past weekend was full of fun with friends new and old. Check out some of the iPhone fun I captured this weekend. xo- laurie marie
