When it comes to boudoir, I get asked a lot of questions. One I get all the time is “What boudoir outfits should I bring to my session?” This is one of my favorites. I just love clothing, lingerie & well, style in general. There are so many options to consider. Some of my favorite suggestions are surprisingly not lingerie at all.
Many types of outfits will work well for boudoir. For example a pretty blouse, cute pj’s, tank top, boy shorts, sweater, jeans, pretty cotton dress or even a robe can be just as sexy, if not more so, than lingerie. So many options available! If you ask most men, most of the times they view their woman as most beautiful is when they have little makeup, hair in a pony tail and his t-shirt. I like the unexpected and less obvious choice. Don’t get me wrong; lingerie is great and can be oh-so-sexy but if your just not that girl who likes lingerie don’t feel as though you can’t do a boudoir session. I say wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box. I’ve put together a board of boudoir outfit ideas for inspirational ideas on what boudoir outfits to bring.
For Miss Courtney’s boudoir session she brought a netted top, floral pjs from Victoria’s Secret, bra & panty sets, amazing accessories and oh-my the shoes! So many great boudoir outfits, it was so much fun for me to put the different looks and outfits together for her. Courtney brought some amazing boudoir outfits with her that day, I just love her taste! We had so much fun. Hanging out, laughing, talking about girl stuff like boys, clothes and of course shoes. I love it when a boudoir session feels more like hanging out with a girlfriend. Being silly and laughing like old friends. Thank you Courtney for bringing your fabulous outfits and sharing your session. You are beautiful inside and out. xo- laurie marie
