It’s been over a year since I did the lifestyle session for Amelia and her beloved horse Newsie. It was a really wonderful session but difficult since we were documenting his last day here on earth. :( Well this week I returned to the beautiful horse farm where Amelia and her family said goodbye for a much more celebratory shoot. We did boudoir on the farm! Nestled along the countryside just outside of Kaukauna is where this oh-so-swoon worthy shoot took place!
I spent part of the afternoon with Amelia, her mom Becky and all the wonderful creatures that roam the property. We began with outfit selection then whisked Amelia off to hair and makeup in the front-room. While Amelia was getting all prettied up I was snatching up the yummy pickles her mom had out for us to snack on. Becky was a busy little bee doing chores around the property and cooking homemade spaghetti sauce which made the house smell absolutely amazing! I feel such a comfort and joy being at her farm home, reminds me of my childhood spending time at grandmas on the farm. We’d eat home cooked meals, all eat around the little dinner table, the very same table we’d play countless games of Polyanna and Uno on. Fills my heart!
Once Amelia’s hair and makeup was complete we got started and had such a great time filled with lots of laughs and tons of fun. Amelia is one of those people that I fell in love with right away. She is such a beautiful soul, so giving and kind and just radiates beauty as you’ll see below! I’m so in love with this session and I’m so happy to know that Amelia choose to do this just for her and no one else! She felt it was time to celebrate her amazing self and I’m so thrilled she choose me to do this awesome boudoir on the farm session! Thank you Amelia for sharing your beautiful self with me and thank you and your mom for all the generous goodies (veggies, eggs, spaghetti sauce) you sent me home with :)! xo- laurie marie
